This site contains general information on the White-rumped Shama (copsychus malabaricus) including how to care and breed them.

I hope the information will result in a happier life for the pet birds, encourage captive breeding and reduce trapping of the wild birds.

The site is an on-going project and it will be altered, amended or added to as time permits.

Whilst I have tried my best to provide accurate information, it should be realised that I still have much to learn about the Shama. Any comments or criticisms are welcome.

Letters to me that provide useful information on the Shama may be shared with others on the web site. If any letter is not meant for publication, please let me know.
